Installation
1. Download Steam from “http://www.steampowered.com/”
2. Install Steam.
3. Extract “UnDeadPatch.exe” into Steam directory.
4. Launch “UnDeadPatch.exe”
5. Have FUN.

Steam needs to be updated, what should I do?
1. Delete “Steam.cfg” from Steam directory.
2. Update Steam by launching it.
3. Launch “UnDeadPatch.exe”.
4. Again Have FUN.

Installing the game
1. Extract the files:
extract left_4_dead_ncf-jape.7z (there are 4 .ncf files in there) in Steamsteamapps
extract left_4_dead-jape.7z.001-025 (there is a “left 4 dead” folder in there) in Steamsteamappscommon
2. Run Steam and start the game

So how exactly do you trick steam into thinking you have purchased the game, since if you just put the required files into the steam directory it will just say the game is pre-loaded but you still have to buy it.

Is that UnDeadPatch playing with steam and tricking him into thinking you already have the game bought? If you actually play the game through steam, would that mean you can also play online? And isn’t it easy to get your account banned by doing this? Is this un-traceable so Valve cannot know this is cracked and not ban you?

when I launch Undeadpatch it says “Error: There was a problem in opening Steam.dll file for write acces.”
How too fix it?

Okay, so i redid the setup and now left 4 dead is stuck at download starting..
